You will collect and update patient and procedural data, print and distribute schedules, and maintain statistics while performing data entry. Strong communication with patients, providers, and the surgical team is essential.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Three (3) years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Previous surgical scheduling experience preferred.

• Coordinates surgical and pre-admissions testing schedules for the perioperative department.
• Assigns anesthesia according to patient, surgeon, and insurance needs.
• Prints and distributes schedules.
• Obtains pertinent information to properly schedule procedures and prevent delays.
• Makes sound judgments when scheduling complex, highly technical procedures.
• Manages issues from daily operational changes (add-ons, delays, emergencies) and multi-tasks under pressure.
• Communicates with patients, physicians, anesthesia, surgery staff, and other departments in a professional manner.
• Schedules procedures efficiently using available resources to minimize delays.
