Qualifications

• Completion of high school or equivalent.
• Experience as a medical assistant, Secretary, Unit Secretary, Surgical Technician or Imaging Support Specialist preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate scheduling for multiple procedures using a computerized system.
• Perform daily patient/procedure data entry into the computer system.
• Assist manager with maintaining staff profiles and updating the system.
• Work with Anesthesia department for patient scheduling.

Skills

Knowledge of appropriate computer systems and software

Medical terminology

Demonstrated time management and organizational skills

Typing speed of 35 wpm

Ability to work under stress

Ability to work with confidential information

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
