Job summary

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a Surgical Optimization Coordinator to join the Operating Room team. The role focuses on facilitating access to surgical care by scheduling cases for Nemours and partner facilities, maximizing OR block time, and managing the surgical depot to meet established metrics.

Responsibilities include developing EPIC templates, coordinating with providers, and using EPIC and Qlik reporting to improve clinic flow and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years relevant work experience required.
• Experience with EPIC and scheduling systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Schedule outpatient and surgical procedures at Nemours and partner hospitals.
• Manage EPIC templates and divisional schedules to improve patient access and provider efficiency.
• Utilize EPIC and Qlik reports to optimize the surgical depot and case inventory.
• Coordinate communications with families regarding scheduling and financial responsibilities.
• Provide administrative support to clinical leaders and track CME documentation.
