Job summary

Nemours Children's Health seeks a Surgical Optimization Coordinator to streamline access to surgical care. This role schedules cases for Nemours and partner facilities, maximizes OR utilization, and manages the surgical depot to meet established metrics.

It also oversees EPIC templates and divisional clinical schedules, providing daily admin support to leaders and providers. The coordinator collaborates with the Access Center, coordinates communications to families, and supports enterprise

Qualifications

Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred but will consider equivalent years’ experience.
Within 12 months of assuming position, complete required EPIC curriculum of classes required to obtain the EPIC Strategy End User badge.
3-5 years relevant work experience required

Responsibilities

Optimize divisional OR block time utilization with daily EPIC OpTime depot management.
Promptly facilitate scheduling of surgical procedures at Nemours and partner hospitals.
Update OpTime case information and manage the surgical depot to meet metrics.
Develop, modify, and maintain EPIC templates for assigned providers and programs.
Coordinate administrative schedules, meetings, and CME activities for divisional leaders and providers.
Provide courteous communication with patients, families, and internal/external customers.
