Qualifications

• Two or more years of related experience in a health care environment.
• Knowledge of CPT-4 coding and medical terminology.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inpatient and outpatient procedures and exams and provide all pre-registration information.
• Secure prior authorization, precertification, and referrals from government programs and referrals, completing required forms.
• Ensure accuracy and address issues related to insurance, billing, and regulations.
• Assist Business Services/Coding with procedures, insurance requirements, and fee/coding communications.
• Support Surgeon with administrative tasks, including prep surgery packets and scheduling.
• Create surgeon itineraries and calendars; coordinate travel and entertainment as required.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
