Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Creates and monitors ASC procedures within provider templates.
• Ensures orders align with payers' medical necessity guidelines.
• Coordinates scheduling with precertification availability.
• Sends precertification requests at scheduling.
• Reviews payer requirements with provider and precert department when needed.
• Maintains communication with Front Office Manager regarding conflicts.
• Calls patients to reschedule and addresses scheduling conflicts compassionately.
• Reviews provider treatment plans and pre-procedure instructions with patients.
• Ensures Surgical Coordination Checklist is completed and signed.
• Balances the schedule with manager and monitors for improvement.
