You will optimize resource allocation, assign OR suites and equipment, and ensure accurate patient information in the EMR, coordinating with Admitting to avoid delays. Flexibility to adjust for emergencies is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; 1 year related job experience required.
• Professional licensure/certification can substitute education/experience if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Streamline Surgical Scheduling: Partner with physician offices to gather details, coordinate surgery schedules per dept. guidelines, and balance physician preferences with patient needs.
• Optimize Resource Allocation: Assign operating suites, equipment, and block times to maximize resource utilization and daily operations.
• Manage Patient Information: Enter accurate demographic, billing, and insurance details into EMR, coordinating with Patient Admitting to prevent delays.
• Handle Dynamic Adjustments: Proactively reschedule surgeries to accommodate emergencies and unanticipated events.
