Qualifications

• Require one (1) year of previous healthcare experience.
• Prefer knowledge of medical terminology.
• Prefer knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT-4.
• Prefer effective communication skills, including handling difficult customer situations.
• Prefer typing at least 50 words per minute.
• Prefer ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Prefer experience or background in surgery case information/operations.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for surgical procedures using a block-scheduling system.
• Coordinate pre-admission testing appointments in OR, Oncology, and Endoscopy & Bronchoscopy Lab.
• Ensure appropriate equipment and room specifications are selected to support scheduled cases.
• Support daily scheduling and maximize surgeon satisfaction by efficient area utilization.
