Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Surgical Scheduler II for Glenview, IL (with occasional travel to Skokie). This full-time role requires coordinating surgical schedules, ensuring accurate entries in Epic Optime, and maintaining smooth communication between OR staff and surgeons’ offices.

The position supports flexible hours and travel to other sites as needed. Associate’s degree preferred; Epic Optime/Cadence experience is valued.

Hourly Pay Range: $21.10 - $30.60 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights

• Position: Surgical Scheduler II
• Location: Glenview and Skokie, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
• Required Travel: This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

What you will do

• Surgical Scheduling Accurately creates and schedules surgical cases in Epic Optime across Endeavor
• Identifies scheduling options/opportunities
• Resolves/anticipates conflicts
• Communication between OR Staff and Surgeon offices to provide appropriately scheduled cases in a timely manner
• Charge Capture for Surgical and Anesthesia procedures
• Facilitates the prevention of billing errors by reviewing legal documentation of log entries, physician surgical notes, and anesthesia technical charges to reconcile billable services
• Resolves and completes end of day processes, ensure surgical encounter charges have been cleared in the "Unposted logs" report and released to hospital billing dept
• Creates "new purchase item requests" within Workday as needed for new items used.
• Contacts and follow up with OR Staff to fix log discrepancies
• Contact and follow up with supply vendors to receive missing "Bill Only/Vendor Form/Charge Sheets" as needed
• Other Duties as Assigned: Miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor/manager (i.e. Request Book, Training, Workqueues, Reports, etc.)
