Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Surgical Scheduler II to manage scheduling for operating rooms, same day surgery, GI Lab, Pain Clinic and OB. Position based at Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, IL, full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.

Responsibilities include entering scheduling data, generating daily reports, and coordinating with physicians. Requires at least 1 year in surgery scheduling and strong multitasking abilities, with high school level math/communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school level of communication and/or math skills.
• Minimum 1 year of previous experience in Surgery Scheduling.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Must be able to multitask.

Hourly Pay Range:

$21.10 - $30.60 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Surgical Scheduler II


• Location: Elmhurst Hospital - Elmhurst, IL


• Full Time: 40 hours/week


• Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

What you will do:

• Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, schedules procedures for the operating room, same day surgery, GI Lab, Pain Clinic and OB and takes telephone orders from physicians for procedures.


• Enters scheduling information into computer system, generates daily reports and distributes to appropriate departments.

What you will need:

• High school level of communication and/or math skills but no technical training prior to hire


• Minimum 1 year of previous experience in Surgery Scheduling required


• Knowledge of medical terminology or coursework preferred


• Must be able to multitask
