Job summary

Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists in Spokane, WA, is seeking an Operating Room Attendant for our Ambulatory Surgery Center. You will support perioperative operations, handle OR turnover, assist with patient care, move equipment, manage supplies, and aid anesthesia teams to ensure a safe, efficient surgical environment.

Day shift, Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm, with weekends off and no on-call. Must have WA Medical Assistant registration and BLS, with 1–2 years in a similar role preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of related experience or training preferred.
• Current State of Washington Medical Assistant Registration or application required within 1 month of hire.
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Support operating room turnover and prep for next procedure.
• Move beds, stretchers and OR equipment safely as directed.
• Gather supplies, implants and positioning aids for upcoming cases.
• Set up anesthesia machines, circuits and monitors per provider direction.
• Assist with patient positioning, transfer and comfort during perioperative care.
