Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent. VT Licensed Nursing Assistant license preferred.
• Experience: One year of experience in a medical field preferred but not mandatory.
• Basic computer knowledge and typing skills are a plus; excellent customer satisfaction skills.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the life span.

Responsibilities

• Aides with anesthesia-related supplies and assists with anesthesia needs throughout the day.
• Reports issues to OR Charge Nurse and maintains appropriate supply levels in Anesthesia and carts.
• Transports stretchers and beds as needed for operating rooms.
• Prints up preference cards, picks cases and assembles case carts for future cases and same-day add-ons.
• Maintains supplies and organization of equipment room; maintains adequate stock of PPE at OR entrance and locker rooms.
• Assists with cleaning operating rooms at completion of each case per Infection Control guidelines and supports turnover to keep department running smoothly.
• Assists in other areas of Surgical Services Central Sterile when OR schedule allows.
• Other duties as assigned by charge nurse and/or OR manager.
