Job summary

Northwestern Medical Center, Inc. is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Operating Room in St. Albans, VT. The role involves 40 hours bi-weekly, hours 6:30a-5p, with evening and weekend call rotation, on-site work.

The RN will provide safe perioperative care per policy and contribute to a high reliability team. Requirements include VT RN license or Compact State RN, successful completion of Surgical Services orientation, and BLS; ACLS within 6 months. PALS and CNOR are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Current VT RN license or Compact State RN required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or enrolled in an accredited Direct Entry to MS Nursing program.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire; BLS required; PALS and CNOR encouraged.
• Successful completion of Surgical Services orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe nursing care in the Operating Room with a high degree of independence.
• Perform nursing duties within the scope defined by Vermont State Board of Nursing; function as charge nurse as needed.
• Collaborate with perioperative team to deliver patient-centered care and ensure safety.

Education

VT RN license or Compact State RN
