Qualifications

• Pursuing a graduate degree or bachelor’s in Systems Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• Must plan to return to academic program after internship.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop system-level and subsystem-level simulations for robotic surgical platforms.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across systems, mechanical, electrical, controls, and software engineering.
• Analyze simulation and test data to guide design decisions.
• Assist with requirements development, traceability and verification planning.
• Support architecture studies and interface definition across teams.
• Create technical documentation and presentations of methodologies and results.
• Assist with laboratory testing and correlation of simulation with experimental data.
• Develop scripts/tools to improve analysis and engineering efficiency.
