Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Santa Clara, CA invites applications for Mechatronics & Systems Integration - Robotics Interns within Robotics R&D. The internship targets hardware and software integration across mechanical, electrical, and controls domains to advance surgical robotics platforms.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, contribute to prototyping, testing, and deployment, and gain broad exposure to robotics and AI/ML applications in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering, or similar.
• Candidates must plan to return to an academic program after the internship.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Responsibilities

• Support system/subsystem-level surgical robotics development, integration, and/or testing.
• Identify root causes and resolve issues across mechanical, electrical, software and robotic controls domains.
• Characterize and de-risk designs from prototype to subsystem level; analyze test results.
• Support development of new test methods and fixtures for system/subsystem integration, test, and calibration.
