Job summary

MemorialCare in Fountain Valley, CA is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) on a per diem basis. The RNFA will work with the surgical team under the direction of the surgeon, providing intra-operative support and circulating or scrubbing as needed.

Required are a California RN license, a Bachelor’s in Nursing, BLS/ACLS, RNFA and OR certifications. On-call duties apply; prior RNFA experience preferred or completion of RNFA training with preceptorship.

Qualifications

• California RN license required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Current BLS & ACLS from AHA required.
• Current Nurse Operating Room Certification required.
• Current RNFA certification required.
• On-call requirement of the department.
• One year RNFA experience preferred; RNFA training with preceptorship considered.
• Computer, internet, order entry and word processing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process and AORN standards as a framework for patient care.
