Job summary

The role requires a BSN, California RN licensure, CNOR and RNFA didactic course, plus at least three years scrub and circulate experience in acute care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of nursing is required.
• Certification of completion of an approved didactic RNFA course is required.
• Three years scrub and circulate experience in an acute care facility is required.
• Annual surgeon review is required.

Responsibilities

• Assures patients personal needs are met.
• Participates in the Standards of Conduct.
• Demonstrates intraoperative competency as an RNFA, including suturing and hemostasis.
• Assist in development and education of new staff members.
• Attends staff meetings and completes required competencies.
• Maintains patient and hospital privacy and adheres to infection control guidelines.
