Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) in Bakersfield, CA. You will coordinate patient care with the surgeon, anesthesiologist and OR staff and serve as a first assistant during incisions, excisions and repairs.

The requirements include RN licensure in the state, CNOR; CPR/BLS; ACLS; CRNFA preferred. AORN membership preferred. The role includes on-call duties, weekend coverage and 24/7 unit operations within a 254-bed hospital setting.

Qualifications

• RN license in the state of practice is required.
• CNOR certification is required for the role.
• CRNFA certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Performs circulating and scrubbing duties in the OR.
• Confirms surgical site before induction of anesthesia.
• Assists with tissue handling, vessel ligation and wound closure.
• Maintains sterile field and aseptic technique throughout procedures.
• Documents patient data and care plans.
