Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, OH is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Surgery Unit. You will care for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures, perform scrub and circulating roles, and help prepare the OR and instruments.

This full-time night-shift position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and at least one year of RN experience or completion of the perioperative residency.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
• Perform scrub functions including selection and handling of instruments and supplies.
• Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition.
• Manage overall nursing care of patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Prepare the OR, surgical instruments, and equipment for use.
