Job summary

AdventHealth in Altamonte Springs, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift on a high-acuity surgical unit. The role emphasizes comprehensive assessments, individualized care plans, safe medication administration, patient education, and cross-team collaboration to achieve excellent outcomes.

Required ASN, Florida RN license, BLS, ACLS, and at least 6 months of RN experience. Benefits start day one, with a competitive pay range for night shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science degree in Nursing (ASN) is required.
• Current State of Florida or Multistate licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum of six (6) months of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
