Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift on a 36-bed surgical unit at the Altamonte Springs campus. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and administer medications per physician orders while maintaining a focus on patient education and family involvement.

The role requires an Associate of Science in Nursing, current Florida or multi-state RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

Licensed as RN in Florida or multi-state license
Minimum six months of RN experience
Current BLS certification
Current ACLS certification

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate physiologic, psychological, development, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care.
Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols.
Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies.
Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care and communication.
