Job summary

The Valley Health System is seeking a registered nurse for Summerlin Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. The RN will provide safe, patient‑centered care and lead the healthcare team in a busy hospital setting with a strong emphasis on service excellence.

Must hold a Nevada RN license with current BLS; ACLS/PALS or NRP as required by department. BSN is preferred and pre‑employment assessments may apply. VHS offers comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a Specialty course/ or equivalent within 6 months of hire.
• One-year acute care experience or successful completion of an approved specialty course within 6 months of hire.
• Current RN license in the State of Nevada. Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Certification (adult patients), current PALS Certification (pediatric patients) or current NRP Certification (Neonatal patients) as required by department.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
• Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
• Oversees and guides employees that are under his/her supervision.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
