Job summary

SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Shawnee, OK is hiring a Regular RN to assess, plan, implement and evaluate surgical patient care. You will coordinate with the surgical team, educate patients and families, and ensure accurate documentation and safety in a fast-paced environment.

The role focuses on patient-centered care, adherence to protocols, and timely communication of changes in patient status to physicians, with opportunities for growth within a respected health system.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in Oklahoma or a Compact State.
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates nursing care for surgical patients.
• Communicates with patients to assess knowledge and expectations; adheres to universal protocol.
• Involves patients/families in care planning, education, and discharge planning.
• Documents patient response to care and maintains a safe environment.
• Performs ongoing assessments and communicates changes to the physician in a timely manner.
• Administers medications and nursing interventions per hospital policy.
