Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit in a high-acuity setting. The role includes postoperative care, wound and ostomy management, and collaboration with surgical residents and OMFS teams.

This position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for external applicants, with relocation incentives for eligible distances. Illinois RN licensure and BLS are required, with a HS Diploma or GED demonstrated for admission to practice.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in Illinois with IDFPR credential and BLS within 30 days (AHA).
• HS Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by the unit and ensures accurate documentation of nursing care.
• Completes initial patient assessment and develops a care plan aligned with unit standards and patient/family needs.
• Provides postoperative care for complex surgical patients, including wound and ostomy management, and collaborates with surgical teams.
