Qualifications

• RN license (RN) in appropriate state
• BLS certification within 30 days
• CNOR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon in general and specialized surgeries; ensure trays, instrumentation, supplies are ready
• Provide patient care and support
• Administer medications
• Perform surgical tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, draping, tissue handling
• Position and prepare patient on operating table
• Monitor vitals during surgery
• Educate patient and family on operation and aftercare
• Perform post-operative assessments and monitor for pain/complications
• Review patient history and health assessments
• Monitor surgical site and healing, observe for infection
• Participate in research
• Scrub and circulate based on unit needs
• Coordinate supplies and equipment, manage costs
• Assist in room turnover
