Job summary

ProMedica Bay Park Community Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse First Assistant to serve as the primary clinician with the surgical/medical plan. You will assess patients, anticipate changes, and participate actively in caring for patients in the operating room and perioperative setting.

The role requires successful completion of an RN first assistant course, current RN licensure, CPR certification, and CNOR certification.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed a course preparing the RN as a first assistant in surgery.
• Current RN licensure in the state of hire.
• CPR certification required; CNOR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary clinician with the surgical/medical plan.
• Assess a patient’s status to anticipate changes and respond to critical situations.
• Begin, implement, and evaluate a nursing plan of care for assigned patients.
