Job summary

ProMedica Bay Park Community Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse First Assistant to serve as the primary clinician with the surgical/medical plan. You will assess patients, anticipate changes, and participate actively in caring for patients in the operating room and perioperative setting.

The role requires successful completion of an RN first assistant course, current RN licensure, CPR certification, and CNOR certification.

Qualifications

  • Current RN licensure in the state of hire.
  • CPR certification required; CNOR certification preferred.

You serve as the primary clinician with specific patients in combination with the surgical/medical plan. You are responsible for beginning, implementing, and evaluating a nursing plan of care.In this role, you will assess a patient’s status to anticipate and respond to clinical changes as well as recognize and take appropriate action in critical situations.The above summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by the positions. It should not be considered exhaustive.RequirementsEducation: Successfully completed a course in preparing the registered nurse as a first assistant in surgery.Skills: Must be able to differentiate colors. Must be able to input and retrieve information from computer.Years of Experience: 2 years of intraoperative clinical experience.License: Current RN licensure in the state in which you are hired.Certification: CPR certified.
