Job summary

Harlingen Medical Center in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse for the surgical service to provide safe, high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative experience under the nursing process.

Responsibilities include circulating duties, patient positioning, accurate documentation, and collaboration with surgeons and anesthesia providers. A sign-on bonus of $15,000 is available for qualified candidates; a full benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Active BLS (AHA) certification on hire and maintained.
• ACLS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS (AHA) certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Minimum of one year perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
• CNOR certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Circulating duties, patient positioning, and accurate documentation.
• Maintain a safe, sterile surgical environment and coordinate care with surgeons and anesthesia providers.
• Educate patients and families while protecting privacy and ensuring safe perioperative care.
