Qualifications

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs and communicates care priorities.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Maintains CPR certification and RN licensure in Ohio.
• May perform RN First Assistant after completion of an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients to move through the surgical encounter safely and efficiently.
• Communicates patient care needs to Surgical Technologists and Perioperative Technicians.
• Documents according to organizational standards and procedures.
• Engages in quality improvement activities and unit meetings.
