Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 0.6 FTE position (24 hours per week) on the day shift with weekend coverage (7am–7pm). The role emphasizes family-centered care, patient safety, and adherence to ANA ethics.

You must hold an Ohio RN license, have CPR, and be willing to obtain PALS/NRP/ACLS as required by the unit. BSN is preferred; an ADN with commitment to BSN within 5 years may be considered.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree and current state license to practice.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs.
• Communicates patient care needs and priorities to LPNs, PCAs, Unit Coordinators, and Allied Health.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Utilizes Therapeutic Communication while monitoring patient and family needs.
• Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
