Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, KS, is hiring a Registered Nurse Surgery to circulate in the OR, with scrubbing skills valued. You will oversee patient care under the Nurse Manager/Director with the OR team.

Qualifications

• Prior Surgery experience preferred.
• Experience in circulating and scrubbing preferred.
• If new to the OR, prefer 2 years of progressive acute care nursing experience.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (RN).
• Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate/Bachelor degree.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient/family education about peri-operative process.
• Handle patient preparation including IV therapy and medications.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with providers, surgeons, and OR staff.
• Apply nursing process with critical thinking and leadership.
• Monitor patient condition and document changes.
• Educate patients and families about treatment and follow-up.
