Overlake Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Surgical Processing Educator to lead onboarding, annual competency assessments, and ongoing skills training for the Sterile Processing Department. This full-time, day-shift role supports regulatory readiness and collaborates with perioperative educators.

The position involves helping with hiring processes and ensuring staff competency, while aligning with hospital standards and patient care goals.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• CRCST and CER certifications required.
• Current CRCST required upon hire.
• If CER not current, must obtain CER within six months of hire.
• Five years of experience in Sterile Processing with at least one year as an educator in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and support on Surgical Processing topics, including onboarding, annual competency, and skills fairs.
• Participate in hiring and assist in preparation for TJC and DOH surveys.
• Collaborate with Perioperative clinical educator to support clinical staffing needs affecting operations.
