Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years sterile processing experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years prior experience educating sterile processing technicians, including design and delivery of education programs.
• Current CRCST, CBSPD, or IAHCSMM certification in Sterile Processing (required).
• Advanced knowledge of AAMI and AORN procedures and policies.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Leads design and implementation of orientation, onboarding, and competency-based education for sterile processing staff.
• Delivers education on sterile processing practices, including decontamination, inspection, sterilization, and endoscope processing.
• Assesses learning needs, evaluates competency, and creates targeted education and remediation plans.
• Acts as a consultant to leaders, ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
