Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Patient Procedure Scheduler-Urology for a full-time role on the Lake Forest Hospital campus. The schedule is 40 hours weekly, Mon Tue Fri at Lake Forest 7:30a-4:30p and Wed Thu at Glenview. The role focuses on scheduling surgical/pre-operative procedures and guiding patients through pre-certifications.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of healthcare experience, plus customer service experience. EMR system familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Registers and schedules patients for surgical and pre-operative procedures.
• Inform patients of their financial responsibilities.
• Provide patients with surgical and procedural information and instructions.
• Obtains and/or facilitates pre-certification as required.
• Maintains calendars and schedules related to surgical and pre-operative procedures.
• Answers all incoming patient inquiries.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
