Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor animals during the initial post-operative recovery phase (TPR, auscultation, pain assessment).
• Prepare animals for surgery (anesthetic calculations, induction, intubation, IV catheter placement).
• Document physiological data, medication administration, and recovery progress.
• Dispense medications as prescribed by veterinarian or protocol.
• Collect lab samples (blood, fecal, urine) as needed.
• Communicate with veterinary staff about medical status and recovery process.
