Responsibilities

• Prepare supplies for the preoperative period based on the day’s schedule.
• Review and update patient medical history and consent forms.
• Administer medications and monitor vitals pre- and post-op.
• Postoperative monitoring, PACU care, and discharge planning per orders.
• Educate patient and family on postoperative instructions.
• Document nursing care accurately in charts.
