Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida is seeking a Physician Assistant to support the GI-Extenders department. The role involves patient assessment, history taking, and assisting surgeons as needed in the operating room, with attention to patient safety and sterile technique.

The candidate should hold FL PA licensure with NCCPA certification desired. An associate degree is required, bachelor’s degree preferred, and CPR certification is necessary.

Qualifications

• Florida PA license required and NCCPA certification desired.
• Associate degree with PA license; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Preliminary assessment of patients.
• Obtain complete history and perform physical assessment on new patients.
• Review current status/complaints and review test results.
• Assist attending surgeon as first or second assistant.
• Demonstrate surgical techniques and sterile field procedures.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, and participate in department teaching.
• Support hospital performance improvement activities.
