Job summary

Care New England Health System is seeking a Physician Assistant to support OR 1st assist and inpatient management at Kent Hospital, with occasional assignments at Women & Infants Hospital. The role involves admissions, discharges, consults and daily rounding in a high-volume surgical setting.

You will perform bedside procedures such as NG tube placement, wound VAC changes, and I&D of abscesses, contributing to comprehensive perioperative care across multiple services.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Certified by NCCPA.
• Active Rhode Island PA license or eligible; CSR and DEA license required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide OR 1st assist and inpatient management, admissions, discharges, consults & daily rounding.
• Perform bedside procedures such as NG tube placement, wound VAC changes and I&D of abscesses.
• Primary work location Kent Hospital with occasional assignments at Women & Infants Hospital depending on scheduling needs.
