Job summary

Sturdy Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our hospital-based Acute Surgical Services team. You will provide direct inpatient and perioperative care, work with attending surgeons, residents, and nurses to manage pre-, intra-, and post-operative care.

The role includes surgical first/second assist duties, cross-training across specialties, and equitable night/weekend coverage. Full-time schedule with 40 hours and call, competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program.
• Current Massachusetts licensure.
• Board certification (NCCPA).
• DEA license (or eligibility).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the inpatient and perioperative settings.
• Perform comprehensive surgical floor-level care, including patient assessment and postoperative management.
• Function as a first or second surgical assistant in the operating room as needed.
• Collaborate with attending surgeons and care team to facilitate safe patient throughput.
