Job summary

Care New England is seeking an inpatient surgical Physician Assistant to join our team at Kent Hospital in Warwick, Rhode Island. The position includes OR 1st assist duties, inpatient management, admissions, discharges, consults, and daily rounding across general, bariatric, colorectal, vascular and thoracic surgery.

Bedside procedures include NG tube placement, wound VAC changes, and I&D of abscesses. Primary work location is Kent Hospital with occasional assignments at Women & Infants Hospital

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Certified by NCCPA.
• Active Rhode Island PA license or eligible, CSR, and DEA license.
• OR 1st assist experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• OR 1st assist and inpatient management, admissions, discharges, consults and daily rounding.
• Bedside procedures include NG tube placement, wound VAC changes and I&D of abscesses.
