Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Tucson is seeking a Surgical PCU RN to provide comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced, 24-bed PCU/IMCU. The role includes insulin/heparin/drip management, wound and ostomy care, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team in a structured, education-focused unit.

The position offers Day Shift (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM), full-time hours (36 per week), and requires availability on holidays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Experience in acute care hospital setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.
• Implement and document nursing care per physician orders and plan of care.
• Coordinate with the health care team, supervise staff as needed, and ensure continuity of care.
• Evaluate patient progress and revise care plans based on status and teaching.
