Harlingen Medical Center in Harlingen, TX, is seeking a per diem Transport Technician to support perioperative services with 8 hour shifts. This role involves safe patient transport between pre-op, OR, PACU, and inpatient units, plus delivering instruments, equipment, and specimens to the correct locations, and assisting with room turnovers to maintain efficient surgical flow.

The position requires BCLS (AHA) certification, high school diploma, and prior transportation experience is preferred.

Qualificações

Must have BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current throughout employment.
Transportation experience preferred.
High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Responsabilidades

Transport patients safely between pre-op, operating rooms, PACU, and inpatient units using stretchers, wheelchairs, or beds.
Deliver surgical instruments, equipment, and specimens to the appropriate locations while maintaining proper handling protocols.
Assist with room turnovers by removing used equipment, biohazard waste, and ensuring timely preparation for the next surgical case.
Communicate effectively with surgical staff and follow scheduling systems to ensure smooth and efficient workflow throughout the department.
Perform a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients along with clerical, transport, and messenger tasks to support safe and effective patient care services.
