Job summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis County is seeking a Surgical Pathology Technical Coordinator to provide bench-level support, coordinate daily workflow, and mentor staff within Anatomic Pathology, ensuring timely, accurate results.

The role emphasizes leadership, quality assurance, and collaboration with the Lab Director, with CT(ASCP) certification and 1–2 years of experience required; preferred cytology experience and several years in the field support career growth.

Qualifications

• CT(ASCP) certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant laboratory experience required.
• 2+ years of experience preferred.
• Cytology or Cytotechnologist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses workload, prioritizes work, makes staffing adjustments and assists staff when needed.
• Coordinates/reviews schedules with supervisors and coordinators to ensure adequate staffing for shift.
• Focuses on quality by assembling and reviewing data and ensuring QC procedures meet standards.
• Provides support during inspections and implements QA policies.
• Mentors and trains staff and students in routine techniques.
