Department of Pathology at Montefiore Medical Center - Surgical Pathologist Positions

The Department of Pathology at Montefiore Medical Center is one of the largest and most comprehensive laboratories on the East Coast. We are seeking applicants for two full-time Academic Surgical Pathologist positions at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor to join a team of 25 surgical pathologists.

The ideal candidates should have subspecialty fellowship training and/or at least 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Genitourinary, Head and Neck/Thoracic, Gastrointestinal/Liver, and Breast pathology. The Division practices a "hybrid" model of subspecialty sign-out, combining two or more subspecialties. The department handles approximately 66,000 surgical pathology specimens annually.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Possess solid diagnostic skills, enthusiasm for teaching, and strong communication abilities.
• Responsibilities include clinical services in surgical pathology, interactions with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams, involvement in residency and medical student education, and other academic activities.
• Opportunities for collaborative and translational research are available and encouraged.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $250,000 to $375,000, depending on experience, along with productivity incentives. Benefits include LTD, STD, paid malpractice insurance, health, dental, vision, and a 403(b) retirement plan.
