Position Overview

The Department of Pathology at Montefiore Medical Center, one of the largest labs on the East Coast, is seeking two full-time Academic Surgical Pathologists at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Candidates should have subspecialty fellowship training and/or experience (5+ years) in Genitourinary, Head and Neck/Thoracic, Gastrointestinal/Liver, or Breast pathology. The division practices a hybrid model of subspecialty sign-out, handling approximately 66,000 surgical pathology specimens annually.

Responsibilities

1. Provide diagnostic services in surgical pathology.
2. Collaborate with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams.
3. Participate in residency training and medical student education.
4. Engage in collaborative and translational research.

Qualifications

• Solid diagnostic skills.
• Enthusiasm for teaching.
• Strong communication abilities.
• Board Certified/Eligible in AP/CP or A/P.
• Ability to obtain a NY State Medical License.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary ranges from $250,000 to $375,000 depending on experience, with productivity incentives. Benefits include LTD, STD, paid malpractice, health, dental, vision, and a 403(b) plan.
