Job Opportunity: Academic Surgical Pathologist

The Department of Pathology at Montefiore Medical Center, one of the largest and most comprehensive laboratories on the East Coast, is seeking to fill two full-time Academic Surgical Pathologist positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Join a team of 25 surgical pathologists dedicated to excellence.

Ideal candidates will have subspecialty fellowship training and/or at least 5 years of experience in areas such as:

1. Genitourinary
2. Head and Neck/Thoracic
3. Gastrointestinal/Liver
4. Breast

The division practices a “hybrid” model of subspecialty sign-out, combining two or more subspecialties. The department handles approximately 66,000 surgical pathology specimens annually.

Candidate Qualifications and Responsibilities

• Strong diagnostic skills, enthusiasm for teaching, and excellent communication abilities
• Responsibilities include clinical service in surgical pathology, collaboration with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams, and involvement in residency and medical student education
• Research opportunities are available and encouraged
