Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Germantown, MD seeks a part-time Physician Assistant II (PA-2) PRN to provide first assist in the OR across multiple specialties and to manage postoperative care in a team-based hospital setting.

The PA-2 PRN performs H&P, orders tests, and coordinates treatment with supervising physicians, while supporting quality initiatives and safe, compliant billing practices.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ARC-PA certified PA program.
• Pass PANCE and PANRE when applicable.
• Maintain Maryland PA licensure and prescriptive authority.
• Minimum 2 years surgical PA experience or 1 year surgical + 2 years non-surgical.
• Ability to work in OR and inpatient units.

Responsibilities

• Provide first assist in the OR for at least 2 surgical specialties and coordinate post-operative care.
• Perform admission H&P, daily progress notes, orders, discharges and transfers.
• Perform bedside procedures when credentialed (central lines, thoracostomy, chest tube).
• Preceptor to surgical PA students and new graduates.
• Support quality initiatives and compliant professional billing.
