Job summary

ADVANCED CHENEGA SERVICES, LLC at Fort Bragg, NC is seeking an Operating Room Technician (Surgical) to support Womack Army Medical Center. The technician will collaborate with surgeons, nurses and staff to prep patients, arrange instruments, and assist with procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a surgical technology program accredited by CAAHEP/ABHES or completion of a military surgical tech training program.
• Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or MOS surgical tech certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA/Red Cross or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of recent experience as a certified surgical technologist.
• Certification from an accredited OR tech training program.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients and prepare them for surgery according to the pre-operative plan.
• Scrub, hand instruments to surgeon and maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures.
• Circulate by obtaining supplies, assisting anesthetist, labeling and transporting specimens.
• Maintain operating room sterility, set up equipment, and perform routine OR maintenance.
• Conduct routine checks of equipment and assist in post-operative tasks as assigned.
