Job summary

ADVANCED CHENEGA SERVICES, LLC, located at Fort Bragg, NC, seeks an Operating Room Technician (Surgical) to support Womack Army Medical Center. The role collaborates with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure safe patient transport, instrument handling, and sterile processing throughout procedures.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, scrubbing, circulating, and maintaining the operating room environment while ensuring adherence to sterile technique and patient safety standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Surgical Technology program accredited by CAAHEP/ABHES or completion of a formal military training program for surgical technicians.
• Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from NBSTSA or MOS certification as a surgical technician/operating room technician.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA, ARC or other approved body.
• Minimum one year of experience as a certified surgical technologist in the last two years prior to contract execution.
• Certification from an accredited OR Tech training program.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients from hospital units to the Operating Room with safe transport and proper patient identification checks.
• Assist surgeon by hands instruments during procedures and anticipate needs.
• Maintain aseptic technique and manage counts of sponges and instruments, monitor for complications.
• Set up and organize supplies and equipment for procedures, assist with positioning and draping.
• Clean operating room post-surgery, restock and set up equipment for the next case; perform routine maintenance on equipment.
