Job summary

Azza HealthCare Agency is seeking a Surgical Technician to assist the operating room team by preparing and maintaining equipment and supplies, and ensuring instruments are ready for procedures to run safely and smoothly.

Required: High School Diploma; completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program preferred; at least 1 year of surgical tech experience; certification as a Surgical Technician within 90 days of hire; BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma required; completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program preferred.
• At least 1 year of surgical technician experience; preferred experience as a surgical tech.
• Certification as a Surgical Technician by recognized boards required within 90 days of hire; BLS certification required; other relevant certifications preferred.

Performs specialized technical duties in the surgical or procedural environment under supervision, assisting the surgical team with equipment and instrumentation to ensure a safe and functional operating room environment.

• Ensure all required equipment is available and properly functioning during procedures.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: High School Diploma required; completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program is preferred.
• Experience: At least 1 year of surgical technician experience; preferred experience as a surgical tech.
• Certifications & Licenses: Certification as a Surgical Technician by recognized boards (required within 90 days of hire); licensure from recognized programs or military/public health service is preferred.
• Additional Certifications: BLS certification required; other relevant certifications by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or the National Center for Competency Testing are preferred.
